At Rebellion we always want to offer you the best, and to do this we have to stay updated. In order to keep up with the evolution of devices, operating systems, and security in a sustainable way, we need to stop supporting Android systems Lollipop (5.0, 5.1) and Marshmallow (6.0, 6.0.1).

From February 7th 2022, if you use these operating systems you won’t be able to update the app with new versions and we won’t be able to solve any issues you may have. If this decision affects you we sincerely regret the inconvenience that this can cause you, but we encourage you to update your device with the most recent system so you can keep enjoying Rebellion.

Why won’t we keep giving support to these operating systems?

Android's operating system is managed by Google, which stopped giving support to Lollipop and Marshmallow a few years ago.

From Rebellion we have made a great effort to support these versions even though Google has stopped doing so. To guarantee our Android user's security, we will also stop supporting these versions.

What do I have to do if my device has Lollipop or Marshmallow?

In order to get the most out of Rebellion and for your security, if your device is running Lollipop or Marshmallow we recommend that you update to the latest software possible. We will only support devices running from Android Nougat OS version (7.0) onwards.

What happens with my account if I can’t update my operating system?

For now, you can keep using Rebellion with limitations, the most important one is that you won’t have access to the cryptocurrency area. You also won0t be able to access new app updates, as they will be only available from version 7.0 (Nougat). Keep in mind that in time (we are not able to precise at the moment) we will also stop offering service to Android versions Lollipop and Marshmallow.

I signed up for Rebellion on an Android 5.0 or 6.0 device but have already upgraded or now use iOS, do I need to do anything?

If this is your case you don’t have to worry, you can keep using Rebellion normally and you will have access to all the functionalities.
